I know it doesn’t feel like we’ll be giving up our warm winter coats anytime soon when you look out of the window at the moment but I”m yearning for Spring and looking forward to those days when you don’t need to dress like you’re going an Arctic expedition to leave the house!
There’s no harm in feeling hopeful for those warmer days and I’m starting to be prepared for myself and my clients for the seasons ahead.
For me, an absolute Spring staple is a trench coat. It’s a piece that never goes out of style year on year and different takes on the classic design means you can find a fit to suit everyone.
Why is a trench so versatile?
A trench is a perfect layering piece and can work equally well with both casual and smarter outfits. It works both daytime and evening and gives any outfit a styled look.

Style Tip:
There are so many styles to choose from, think about what you need and what is going to work best with what you already own. Think about the length and what you will be wearing underneath. For example, If you wear a lot of long dresses or skirts, a longer trench will work better. Also think about the fabrics, more flow in the fabric is going to work best for the curvier figure rather than a stiff rigid material that doesn’t have as much movement with your shape. A single breasted or double breasted style can also work better for you depending on your shape.
