The shoes to wear for Spring.
It’s the time of year when we’re just about ready to ditch the boots but it’s not quite warm enough for summer sandals and flip flops.
The right footwear can really help to make more use of your wardrobe and allow you to use your outfits across the seasons.
I’m going to share some styles that will work for both a casual and smarter look.
The Ballet Flat.
Such an easy and comfortable style that looks great with jeans and more tailored trousers as well as skirts and dresses. There are so many styles to choose from. Classic chance style two tone , Mary Jane style and those with a little heel. Usually they have around toe but if you prefer a more pointed look, there are plenty of options. Lots of ideas of where to buy linked here
The Lightweight Trainer.
A trainer is a great Spring shoe- not the type you would wear for the gym but instead a lightweight all round style that looks great with dresses and skirts as well as jeans and trousers. There are so many to choose from that there is something to suit every style personality whether you like classic white or want to add a pop of colour or are trend led and want to go with the current favourite metallic looks. There are lots of options linked here
The Slingback.
I love a slingback shoe, for me they just have an extra elegance than the formality of a full court shoe and a great in between option when it’s not quite warm enough for a sandal. Whether you want to go completely flat, mid heel or high heel, there are lots of ideas linked here
The Loafer.
A loafer is a great transitional shoe when a boot feels too heavy but the British weather means that we can’t guarantee a day without rains you still need something substantial to stop your feet getting soaked! Again, there are styles to suit everyone from the classic to the more chunky and heeled versions. There are some idea linked here
The Backless Mule.
Sometimes you just wanted a shoes that is as easy and comfortable as a slipper but still feels stylish. A backless mule style is the perfect easy shoe to slip on as you head out the door. Some options are linked here
I really hope that you have found this post helpful, please get in touch if you have any style queries you would like answering in future posts.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine!
