The Denim Midi Skirt
I like the things I spend my money on to work hard for me. A denim skirt has become an all year round staple in my wardrobe. Wear with boots in Winter, ballet pumps and loafers in Autumn and Spring and it will take you right through to Summer with flip flops. Dress up or down with t-shirts, formal shirts, jumpers and blazers. This could turn into one of the hardest working pieces in your wardrobe.
Where to buy? Here are 5 I have found for you……
This Marks and Spencer’s skirt is a classic style at a really good price (£29.50) with sizes ranging from 6 to 24 and available in Short, regular and long lengths. It is also available in cream, black and a darker blue wash.
This H &M skirt is a darker denim with the split at the back. Again, the price is very reasonable (£27.99). From XS to XXL and available in grey and dark grey.
Another great skirt from Marks and Spencer. This shape is particularly flattering if like me you have a pear shape, the wider hem gives balance to the curvy hip area. it is £45 and available in sizes 6 to 24.
I’m a big fan of Mango denim, I think it is really good quality at reasonable price. This skirt is £35.99 and is in sizes XXS to XXL.
If you prefer a fuller style rather than a straight look, this ME+EM skirt is a great option. The fact that it is Italian denim is reflected in the price at £165. Sizes 6 to 18.
Style Tip:
Think about whether you want a split in your skirt and whether that suits you best at the front or the back. The back of my legs are not one of my favourite parts of my body so I prefer a split at the front. I also find it more comfortable for walking with the split at the front. We are all different, so choose a style that works best for you.

Investment pick of the week.
A belt can really elevate an outfit and a designer one can really add a luxe look to a high street outfit.
I’ve lost count of the times I have seen an influencer wearing a Celine or Gucci belt but if you want something a bit different then I think the Victoria Beckham Frame buckle belt is worth taking a look at.
At £190 it it compares very favourably to a Celine Triomphe belt at £485.
I really hope that you have found this post helpful, please get in touch if you have any style queries you would like answering in future posts.
Have a great weekend!
